The iris of the eye is now formed. The liver, intestines, brain and lungs are starting to function on their own. The intestines migrate into the abdominal cavity and external genitalia are present, but it is still difficult to identify the sex. Even if the baby's head will maintain some proportion with the rest of the body until birth, the head growth slows down during this period.
