If you suffer from varicose veins, there are many ways to reduce your discomfort. Uplift your legs on an ottoman when you sit down. You should also avoid standing up for too long and crossing your legs. Anything that could block the blood circulation in your legs should be avoided (elastics or tight socks). Putting compression stockings on before getting out of bed could reduce the pain.
You have reached a point in your pregnancy when premature labor could happen. Labor between the 20th and 37th week of pregnancy is considered premature. The main symptoms are: contractions with or without pain (4 in 20 minutes or 6-8 in an hour), spotting or increased vaginal discharge, lower abdominal pain and back pain.
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, you must quickly consult your doctor who will prescribe appropriate tests to identify the causes of this early labor and find ways to stop it and continue your pregnancy.
Some precautions can help you prevent premature labor:
- Lie on your left side a few times during the day;
- Drink 2 to 3 liters of liquid every day and avoid caffeine;
- Avoid lifting heavy objects;
- Urinate every two hours.
