Hi all! I am a chain smoker for almost 3 years now. I was 2 months pregnant. On hearing the news, I was so happy, but at the same time, I was worried if my smoking had affected the baby. I tried to control my smoking habit, but I couldn't. A few days after my test result showed positive, when I was cleaning my room, I fell from the chair. My doctor said that I had placental insufficiency that developed because of my smoking and she said that it could be the reason for my miscarriage. I am so sad. I have a guilty feeling that all this happened because of me. I smoked without knowing that I was pregnant and it might have affected the growth of the baby. My husband and me are now thinking about having another baby but before that, I need to quit my smoking. I decided to undergo a smoking cessation treatment near Toronto. I don't know how much time it will take to get over this habit. But I will not take the risk of losing my baby again. Does anybody have a similar experience like me? Please be kind to share.
