Letter to my daughter

I met Daddy and boom love story started!!! 10 months after there you were in my stomach!!! I was young and scared, but Daddy was so confident and proud!!! May 19th 2005 I woke up with a big headache and pain in my stomach. I just didnt know what was going on...I called Daddy he said "lets go to the emergency." The lady at the emergency told Me "You lost your mucus plug your going to have a baby today!!!" I was so happy but so scared at the same time...Around 10 o'clock you started to work...I didint want the epidural I didint want to hurt you...but 12 hours after Mommy was tired and couldnt take the pain anymore I started a fever and your heartbeat went low very low my poor baby you were in distress... They send me for an emergency cesection they were giving Me a lot of medication they had 30 minutes to take you out...I was scared to loose you so scared ...finnaly you came out you were blue you couldnt breath and then after a big slap from the doctor and a big scream from Mommy and Daddy "CRY ATHENA" ....you cried....All the medication had put me to sleep...You spend the first 6 hours with your Daddy...

6 and a half hours after, I woke up wondering what was going on with you...Poor Daddy was sleeping on a chair. I started to cry i couldnt see you were were you??? I tried to stand up i couldnt Daddy woke up and said "she is in an incubator because she has a hard time breathing but she is fine..." They put me on a wheelchair and they brought me to you and for the first time i saw your face...you were so small, you were crying...i took you in my arms and i started to breastfeed you.

Now you are 5 and a half years old you are my big girl you speak three languages, you make me proud every day, i love you so much and i always will...
