Hi all, I am here for my child. About two days back when I came back home I saw that my son was very scared. He is 6 years old and when I asked him what the reason was he just kept shivering. I tried to pacify as much as I could but he is still very scared. He was hugging me and crying the whole time, I felt really bad, I can't bear to see him cry like that. I kept asking him again and again but he just wouldn't say anything. Yesterday when I checked the video clips in the video surveillance system, I could see some people standing around my home. Nothing happened after that but I still can't understand why would my son feel so scared seeing them. I am really upset, he is my only son. What do I do to pacify him? I am at my wit's end here, please I need some help.

Tell your son that you are a team together! The feeling of loneliness is a very powerful factor of anxiety, fear in children. When a child can be alone, he can play with himself (yes, there are such children!), but it can be scary when he feels lonely before some events, unknown people. Let him know that you are not only with him but also believe in the same thing. You can compare your team with a team of his favorite characters from the cartoons to make it clearer..
