Dental procedures while being pregnant

Hey, I am married for about five years and we were longing for a baby. I became pregnant last month and we are really happy for that. Last day, I fell down from the stairs and had my face injured during the act. Few of my front teeth were broken. I was scared whether the fall will lead to an abortion. Yesterday, I went for a medical check-up. By the grace of God, no harm was there for the baby. My husband came home yesterday and scolded me for being careless. He told me that I should consult an emergency dentist in Calgary in order to fix my broken teeth. Is it safe to undergo a dental procedure while being pregnant? I cannot take any chance. Will it harm my baby? Please give some genuine replies and suggestions. Thanks in advance.
